Warhammer 40k is more of a beer and pretzels, bucket o' dice kind of game and Infinity is a more hardcore tactical style of game. Going into specifics would be a long process but they are very different kind of games. More rules per model, with discrete "do a job" figures instead of armies battling armies. Infinity is optimized to a smaller overall model count. Reactions usually get one die for each guy who can react. Target numbers get modified by cover and gun range and so on, while the active player generally throws multiple dice for an action. Roll a d20, get as close to your target number as possible without going over. But if I have a hacker, I can screw up your spotter, and so on.īase interaction is blackjack rules.
